Living Single

What does "single" mean to you? Being single to me means a time of self-growth. Whether you've never been in a real relationship or you're in between, not having a significant other is the time where you should work on yourself. While in a relationship, you find out different things about yourself that you would've found out in another way if you weren't trying to mesh your personality with another. When you're single, this is your opportunity to find out these things about yourself. You're more likely to learn slower if you have no immediate reason to push yourself to be a better you. If you're in between relationships, learning and growing should be even easier for you. You're out of your relationship for a reason, learn from the mistakes you've made. Even if you did everything that that person wanted, which was right for them, doesn't mean that you don't have more room to grow to be right for someone else.
No one will like to be treated the exact same way as everyone else. As you get older, you have to learn how to better compromise to fit anyone else around you. Once you're older you (should) realize that you cannot always have your way and you have to succumb to the wishes of other at some point or another, and that's okay. So, you should never be treating the next person you're in a relationship with like the last person. If you stay doing the same stuff you did in your last relationship, you haven't really learned the person in your new one then and you're not treating them as well as you could be. Now if this is someone you want to be with because they make you happy, wouldn't you want to treat them the best way possible? Being single shouldn't just be a time to wait around for the next person or  mess around with just anyone because you're not committed to anyone. If your main goal in getting into a relationship is to see it 'til the end (which I think it should be), then your main goal while being single should be to make yourself an all-around better person until you find someone worth giving your greatness to.
