You always hear people say, "People don't know what they have until it's gone." So, you never capitalize on what you have while you have it, for a number of reasons. You don't realize how much it means to you, you don't think they they impact your life that much, you don't realize you're ready for what you've received..the list goes on and on. And then you have the people who actually do realize what they've got right when they've got a hold of it. But these people who know what they have when they have it are told that they're too young to be so sure or that they need to experience more first. But if someone truly gives you what you want and need at this point in your life, why is it not possible to be sure that they're the one you want to be with? Even if it's not the last person you'll be with, if this person makes you happy and gives you what you need, they just may be the right person for you at this point in time. Now because I'm all for the long term, I wouldn't say get into a relationship even if you don't think it'll last, but if something feels that right, take the risk. This may be the person and relationship that changes you and your life for the better. But to look at it like it's not even worth a try because of simple and possibly irrational fears, you will always lose out. If you feel something that you haven't felt before or in a long time, ask yourself two questions: 1) Do you trust the person you have? 2) Do you trust yourself? If you trust that the person you have makes you feel the way you do because they're genuine, then you should trust yourself enough to step up and take on what you started. Don't let others views, your skepticism, fears or whatever cloud your judgment and sight of what's really in front of you and what's real. Trust yourself enough to make that step of lasting happiness or accept, not choosing wrong, but learning a lesson in taking a chance and accepting what you have while you have it. Look at it this way, you either give yourself a 50% chance of happiness and joy, or a 100% chance of nothing...your choice.
