Healing

You've been hurt by someone you love or really like and you carry around this pain. So you "need" someone to get past that? No. If you depend on the good and love of this next person to bring you past the pain you feel from the past, you're just depending on them. With that being said, YOU have to let yourself overcome your pain for you and on your own. Not necessarily without help, but you can't depend on someone else to help you get past it. Why? Because if and when they leave, you'll not only have pain from that, but the pain from the past will definitely come back. So while you're busy looking for someone to specifically heal your pain, you're digging yourself into a deeper hole of pain.
You're to the point that you're done with trusting? Don't believe in love? It's probably because you're setting yourself up to feel that way. Although people can be cruel and seem as though they're out to cause others pain, you can't let them change you. When you learn  to heal for yourself, you eventually learn to try again without the fear of being hurt like you were in the past. When you carry that pain from person to person, you expect that pain from person to person. Heal Yourself.
